Installing the Zulip mobile apps

Zulip’s native Android and iOS apps make it easy to keep up while on the go, with fully customizable mobile notifications.

Installing the latest stable release is recommended for most users. For an early look at the newest features, consider the beta releases.

1. Follow the Google Play instructions above to install the latest release.
2. Join the testing program on Google Play.

iOS

1. Install TestFlight on your device.
2. Open this public invitation link on your device.

Install the legacy app

Zulip replaced the legacy mobile app with a new mobile app in June 2025. Android users can still install the legacy app, which will not be updated with bug fixes or new features.

Download an APK

1. Uninstall the Zulip app, if it’s already installed.
2. Download the legacy app APK file.
3. Open the APK file, and follow prompts to install it.
