Restrict resolving topics

Zulip lets you configure who can mark topics as resolved. This permission can be granted to any combination of roles, groups, and individual users.

Configure who can resolve topics in any channel

  1. Go to Organization permissions.
  2. Under Moving messages, configure Who can resolve topics.
  3. Click Save changes.

Configure who can resolve topics in a specific channel

  1. Click on the gear () icon in the upper right corner of the web or desktop app.
  2. Select Channel settings.
  3. Click All in the upper left.
  4. Select a channel.
  5. Select the Permissions tab on the right.
  6. Under Moderation permissions, configure Who can resolve topics in this channel.
  7. Click Save changes.
