Schedule a message
Zulip lets you schedule a message to be sent at a later time. For example, if you are working outside of regular business hours for your organization, you can schedule a message for next morning to avoid disturbing others. You can also schedule a message reminder for yourself.
Schedule a message
Section titled âSchedule a messageâ- Open the compose box.
- Write a message.
- Click the ellipsis () next to the send () button.
- Click Schedule message.
- Select one of the suggested scheduling options, or pick a custom time.
Edit or reschedule a message
Section titled âEdit or reschedule a messageâ- Click on Scheduled messages in the left sidebar. If the views section is collapsed, click on the ellipsis (), and select Scheduled messages.
- Click on the message you want to edit or reschedule.
- (optional) Edit the message.
- Click the ellipsis () next to the send () button.
- Select the previously scheduled time, or click Schedule message to pick a new time.
Send a scheduled message now
Section titled âSend a scheduled message nowâ- Click on Scheduled messages in the left sidebar. If the views section is collapsed, click on the ellipsis (), and select Scheduled messages.
- Click on the message you want to send now.
- (optional) Edit the message.
- Click the send () button, or use a keyboard shortcut to send your message.
Delete a scheduled message
Section titled âDelete a scheduled messageâ- Click on Scheduled messages in the left sidebar. If the views section is collapsed, click on the ellipsis (), and select Scheduled messages.
- Click the delete () icon on the message you want to delete.
View scheduled messages
Section titled âView scheduled messagesâ- Click on Scheduled messages in the left sidebar. If the views section is collapsed, click on the ellipsis (), and select Scheduled messages.
